Hey there my friends I hope you’re all keeping well and that your week has been a good one. I was hoping to get out and do some plein air painting, but alas it wasn’t to be as my easel was demanding my attention lol. That and the fact that I’ve begun to strip the walls on the hall, stairs and landing, in preparation for a much needed make over. Must be crazy, but hey ho it needs to be done and painting is involved, big brushes this time lol.

I’m pleased to say that yesterday’s Fallow Deer art workshop went really well, a huge thank you to the participants involved – you all did extremely well, so proud of you all.

Now we all know that our country’s economy isn’t at it’s best at the moment, with many retailers increasing their prices whether they need to or not (some probably just cashing in on the ‘trend’ so to speak). Well myself and the management of Martin Mere Wetland Centre have agreed to buck this trend and put a little joy back into people’s lives 😊 We’ve added four more wildlife-inspired workshop dates to our diaries and all at a reduced price of £60 per person (instead of £80) 😊 The dates have been added to the table below 🔽

Subscriber Question

Q. My pastel pencils keep breaking in my pencil sharpener. How do you sharpen yours?

A. Now this is a question that I get asked a lot, and the answer is a simple one – I don’t use a traditional pencil sharpener for my pastel pencils. Instead I use a knife and sandpaper. The easiest way for me to explain this was to do a simple and quick video demonstration: How I Sharpen Pastel Pencils

I may not always have a video on my YouTube channel to go alongside a subscriber’s question, but when I do I’ll be sure to add it.

Okay folks that’s it for me today, I’ve had a new fridge freezer delivered and it’s time to fill it lol. So it’s off on a much needed grocery shopping trip for me now.

Thank you once again, as always my friends, for spending some time with me today, and please feel free to leave a question or suggestion in the contact form below.

Wishing you all the best, until next time, as always, stay safe and stay creative, Kerry xXx
