Good morning folks I hope this, my latest blog, finds you all well and living life to the full (which in my case involves being creative at least once a day).
Creativity comes in all forms shapes and sizes and for me this doesn’t ring any truer than at present as I enter the world of filming and video editing! Yes the time for online tuition has arrived (about time I hear you say lol). I’ve recorded and edited the first workshop video from humble beginning to completed painting, it’s a Macaw parrot in pastel on velour paper, and I’ve also recorded a short video demonstrating how I prepare my pencils using a knife and sandpaper (I’ve been asked by several individuals for this). Voiceovers are going to be added this coming Sunday to both videos, and I’m just waiting for the arrival of my new Canon camcorder courtesy of my husband Gary, bless him, then I’ll film the finishing shots. So yes the time is near my wonderfully patient subscribers … and if you haven’t subscribed yet or you didn’t even know about my new YouTube channel here’s a link that will take you there:
Talking of tuition – I’m excited to announce that this coming Saturday (17th June) I’ll be running a Badger Art Workshop & Watching Experience Day at Hoo Farm in Telford. Here are the details:
‘Badger ART Workshop & Watching Experience Day’
Saturday 17th June 2017
12 noon – 7pm
£125 per person materials supplied, (max 8 participants)
Please bring a packed lunch with you.
Hoo Farm in Telford is set to be (pardon the pun) the home of these new and exclusive Badger ART workshop & watching experience days. Working from both a purpose built classroom and fully heated hide that overlooks an active sett, this event is sure set to be a winner for beginners and the more experienced artist alike. Of course I’ll be making sure that the day caters for all abilities.
At just £125 per person you’ll be up close and personal with these amazing mammals in their natural habitat, the above photographs were taken from our hide so will hopefully give you an idea of the beautiful views you’ll experience on your day. In addition to this you’ll receive art tuition, all materials supplied and entrance to the adjacent zoo should you wish to venture further – the zoo is home to an abundance of domestic and exotic breeds including the gorgeous Binturong! Wondering how many of you will now Google that word lol.
Places will be limited to just 8 participants, so I highly recommend booking well in advance to avoid disappointment. To reserve a place then drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll add you to the list of participants. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Okay I’m going to sign off now, short and sweet today, I’m just about to drive to Leicestershire to drop off Father’s Day goodies in preparation for the weekend. But I’ll be back at my easel by Friday, hopefully with my new Canon camcorder in action …
I’ll keep you all posted as to when the first YouTube video will be uploaded so that you can join me in the true launch celebrations.
Speak to you all soon and thank you once again for subscribing to this blog and following my endeavours.
Love & hugs Kerry x
